Purpose of Position:  
Establish cost-effective technical solutions to transform business requirements into Lotus Notes workflow applications and maintain existing Lotus Notes applications.  Major Responsibilities:

•    Proactively communicate and coordinate with others across IT to provide support for assigned areas.
•    Establish cost-effective technical solutions to transform business requirements into Lotus Notes workflow applications and maintain existing Lotus Notes applications.  
•    Define specific problems based on general problem information from management and/or customers. Plan technical effort and coordinate activities with those of other divisions, departments and sections to focus areas and solve problems.
•    Ensure compliance with technical requirements of assigned work, proper utilization and training of personnel operating under one's technical guidance and compliance with approved schedules and staffing estimates. 
•    Ensure appropriate technical performance of the end product developed and designed to resolve the original problem.
•    Demonstrate cost and schedule consciousness.
•    Maintain system security through access monitoring, control and evaluation.
•    Maintaining documentation and configuration information.
•    Shift schedule is determined by job assignment and may include off hours schedule.Problem Solving:  
•    Must be able to participate in group problem solving:  communicate effectively, respect ideas of others, identify win-win outcomes, accept the judgment of the group.   
•    Must be able to analyze complex interactions between diverse interconnected computer systems.  
•    Must be familiar with available resource materials and be able to conduct timely research.
•    Must have a sense of when to ask for help both internally and externally.   
•    Must be able to communicate effectively with non-technical personnel to ensure an accurate understanding of goals, priorities, and tradeoffs.  
•    Must be comfortable in accepting guidance from other, more senior technical personnel and in coaching junior technical personnel. Must solve complex problems by applying established practices, must be able to interpret and determine how to apply established practices to unique situations and conventional problems in systems engineering. 
•    Exercise discretion and judgment consistent with the project/task objectives. 
•    Develop new approaches where conventional practice is insufficient. 
•    Develop general resolutions to expected and unusual problems.
•    Will be evaluated for soundness of technical judgments and for technical and cost accomplishments.Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled.  The 40 hour work week will consist of (4) 9 hour work days with (1) 8 hour work day and every other Friday off, or (4) 10 hour work days with either Monday or Friday off depending on coverage needed.    Workweek includes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute unpaid lunch.  As stated in the duties, work hours may require flexibility to work weekends and off hours or schedule adjustment to address project support needs.


4-year degree in IT related discipline (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering) with 5 years proven performance in related assignments; or 
4-year non-related degree with 9 years proven performance in related assignment(s); or
2-year degree in IT related discipline with 9 years proven performance in related assignment(s); or
2-year non-related degree with 11 years proven performance in related assignment(s).In lieu of degree a high school diploma with at least 13 additional years of relevant information technology experience is acceptable.
